Outgrowing People Is a Kind of Grief
One of the most painful parts of growth is realizing that not everyone can come with you. As you heal, mature, and set boundaries, relationships often shift — and that loss can feel confusing, lonely, and unfair.
Boundaries don’t mean you love less. They mean you’re finally loving yourself too.
Healthy relationships require mutual respect, emotional safety, and accountability. When those things are missing, staying connected often costs you your peace. Choosing yourself may feel like abandonment — especially if you’ve been the one who always stayed.
Community built on alignment feels different. It doesn’t require shrinking, over-explaining, or self-betrayal. You are not difficult for wanting reciprocity. You are not unkind for protecting your energy.
Letting go doesn’t mean the relationship never mattered. It means you matter now.
